Blackpool Tower Ballroom is an old historic Ballroom which is located inside Blackpool Tower building complex.  Blackpool Tower is like a miniature Eiffel Tower.  It is located in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.

The Bullring is a very modern shopping centre in Birmingham.  The outer shell of the building looks quite unique, with the many silver spheres placed next to each other.  It is a lovely piece of modern abstract architecture.  The Bullring is located in Birmingham, England, UK.

The UK Parliament's official name is The Palace of Westminster and is located on the banks of the river Thames.  It is a worldwide famous piece of architecture, although due to its age has deteriorated a bit and is currently undergoing renovations.  There are talks of shutting the building down for a few years until the works have finished.  Located in London, England, UK.

Gloucester Cathedral Cloisters are world famous and are part of Gloucester Cathedral.  The cloisters were used in the Harry Potter films as part of Hogwarts.  Located in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England, UK.

The Grand Theatre is a wonderfully decorated theatre and was designed by the architect Frank Matcham and first opened in 1894.  The Theatre is located on the English west coast in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.  

Sacred Heart church is a wonderfully pretty church and was build by the world renowned Pugin family.  It wasn't made by the most famous of the Pugins which was Augustus Pugin, but by his son Edward Pugin.  The church is located in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.

The University of Glasgow building is a famous old building located in Glasgow.  The University itself was founded in 1451.  If you look to the centre left of the image you can see 4 arches, in that area is the famous cloisters, which even rival the most famous cloisters of other buildings in the world, well worth seeing and photographing.  The University is located in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

The Leeds Library is a famous private subscription library.  It isn't humungously huge, but that adds to the attraction as it has a small homely feel to the place.  The library was founded in 1768 and is still going strong today.  Prior contact is needed if you are not a member and wish to visit.  Located in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, UK.

County Arcade Victoria Quarter is an high end shopping mall located in Leeds, which was a by product of the city's boom in the industrial revolution.  The architecture was Frank Matcham and was built circa 1900s.  Located in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, UK.

Fountains Abbey are world famous ruins located in Yorkshire.  This photograph was taken from the Cellarium.  The Abbey was founded in 1132 and functional for about 400 years.  Located Near Aldfield, North Yorkshire, England, UK.

The Portico Library is an famous old private subscription library, which was founded circa 1802 and is actively used to this day by the locals.  Prior contact is advisable if you are planning on visiting.  Located in Manchester, Greater Manchester, England, UK.

Hutton in the Forest is an old historic grade 1 listed country house and was built in 1680.  Located in Skelton, Cumbria,  England, UK.

Chester Cathedral is beautiful gothic cathedral, which has been modified over the hundreds of years of its existence and was opened in 1541 and is part of the historic Chester City.  Located in Chester, Cheshire, England, UK.   

The John Rylands Library is famous historic library and today is part of The University of Manchester.  The interiors are pretty and ornate and the reading room looks more like a cathedral than a library.  It is open to the public and is well worth a visit.  Completed in 1899 and is located in Manchester, Greater Manchester, England, UK.

The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum was built in 1901.  Structurally it has a central hall and two wings.  This photograph is taken of the East Court hosting busts and a collecton of face artwork.  Entry is free and definitely worth a visit.  Located in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

Rufford Old Hall is was built in 1530 and is currently property of the National Trust and is open to the public.  This place is a hidden gem and is really quite beautiful.  Located in Rufford, Lancashire, England, UK.

There are two cathedrals in Birmingham, one is the catholic cathedral built by the famous architect Augustus Pugin, where as this one is the Anglican Cathedral being The Cathedral Church of St Philip and was built in 1725 .  The interiors of this cathedral, specifically the altar are rather different from other churches, with regards to the marble pillars and beautiful decorations.  The cathedral is located in the middle of Birmingham city, England, UK.

This photograph was taken from the Crimson Dining room inside the old historic stately home Castle Howard.  Work started on Castle Howard in 1699 and took over a century to complete.  Today the old house is open to the public.  Located in York, Yorkshire, England, UK.

The Natural History Museum is one of the most visited places in the UK.  It is one of the large museums in London and has a lot to offer science wise.  Well worth visiting, the museum has free entrance and photography is allowed but the use of tripod is forbidden.  Located in London, England, UK.

The Merchant Adventurers Hall is an historic medieval guild hall and was built circa 1357.  This photograph shows The Great Hall inside.  Located in York, Yorkshire, England, UK.

Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is quite a new cathedral age wise and was finished in 1978,  Technically it is the longest cathedral in the world and is also the fifth largest cathedral in the world.  To say it is a huge places is an understatement.   It is one the places that you have to actually visit to appreciate the size.  Located in Liverpool, Merseyside, England, UK.

The Empress Ballroom is a large historic Ballroom inside the Winter Gardens complex.  It was built in 1896 and renovated in 1934 and is used heavily these days for concerts and conventions.  Located in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK. 

Gladstone's library was founded by the famous British politician and Prime Minister William Gladstone and was built in 1895.  To this day it is still a a fully functional library and is used for both study and functions.  Located in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales, UK. 

Cliffe Castle was built circa 1892 and to this day serves as a museum open to the public.  The photograph shows the beautiful ornately decorated Great Drawing room.  Located in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, UK.

Here is a photograph taken from the old Wool Exchange which was built between 1864 and 1867.  It is located in city centre area of  Bradford, Yorkshire, England, UK.  The building now hosts a Waterstones Bookstore and has a built in café.

Glasgow City Chambers are the government buildings in Glasgow.  It was built between 1882 - 1888 and was designed by architect William Young.  Located in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

Inside Glasgow City Chambers is the Council Chamber where formal council meetings take place.  Located in Glasgow, Scotland UK.

Little Moreton Hall is an old moated half-timber manor house.  The earliest parts of the house date back as far as 1504.  The building is now under the ownership of the National Trust.  Located southwest 4 miles of Congleton, Cheshire, England, UK.

The Bridge of Sighs is a famous landmark of the University of Oxford.  The bridge connects the old and new quadrangles of Hertford College.  It was designed by the architect Thomas Graham Jackson and was built in 1914.  Located in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, UK.

Ribblehead Viaduct was opened in 1870.  The viaduct hosts the Settle to Carlisle railway and is currently owned by Network Rail.  Located in Ribblehead, Yorkshire, England.

Cleveleys is a small town located north just north of Blackpool by about 5 miles.  The nice thing about Cleveleys is because it is out of Blackpool Town Centre it can be quieter, especially in the summer months and is a good "get away" place to visit.  Located in Cleveleys, Lancashire, England, UK.

Whitby Abbey are famous ruins located on the east coast of Yorkshire.  The abbey was inspirational to Bram Stocker who wrote "Dracula".  The ruins are today in the care of English Heritage and are open to the public.  Located in Whitby, Yorkshire, England, UK.

Here is a photograph taken at sunset from Blackpool North Pier.  The pier was built in  the 1860s and hosts a theatre at the end of it. There are actually 3 piers in Blackpool, this one being North Pier, the others being Central Pier and South Pier.  All piers are fully functional and open to the public.  Located in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.

A while ago I was shooting a sunset and whilst I had my camera set up on my tripod a lonely person walking a dog started to walk across my field of view.  Luckily I managed to snap this shot when they were in perfect alignment with the sunset.  Taken from Cleveleys beach, Cleveleys, Lancashire, England UK.

This portrait shot was taken of Amar outside the old post office in Blackpool.   The concept was to dress Amar in formal clothes to complement the architecture.  The idea worked out quite well.  Located in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.
