I mainly focus on old historic architecture like cathedrals, but also branch out to other types of buildings including modern architecture. I am very lucky that there are so many old historic buildings in the UK, which has plenty of old historical places juxtaposed against some very new contemporary architecture such as The Bullring building in Birmingham.

The UK Parliament's official name is The Palace of Westminster and is located on the banks of the river Thames. It is a worldwide famous piece of architecture, although due to its age has deteriorated a bit and is currently undergoing renovations. The University of Glasgow building is a famous old building located in Glasgow. The University itself was founded in 1451. If you look to the centre left of the image you can see 4 arches, in that area is the famous cloisters, which even rival the most famous cloisters of other buildings in the world, well worth seeing and photographing. The Leeds Library is a famous private subscription library. It isn't humungously huge, but that adds to the attraction as it has a small homely feel to the place. The John Rylands Library is famous historic library and today is part of The University of Manchester. The interiors are pretty and ornate and the reading room looks more like a cathedral than a library. It is open to the public and is well worth a visit. There are two cathedrals in Birmingham, one is the catholic cathedral built by the famous architect Augustus Pugin, where as this one is the Anglican Cathedral being The Cathedral Church of St Philip and was built in 1725 . The interiors of this cathedral, specifically the altar are rather different from other churches, with regards to the marble pillars and beautiful decorations. Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is quite a new cathedral age wise and was finished in 1978, Technically it is the longest cathedral in the world and is also the fifth largest cathedral in the world. I also have started to diversify in different types of photography other than architecture and am starting to try portraits. For each shot I try out different ideas rather than just shooting vanilla head shots. For example, with Amar I managed to blend both doing a portrait with an old historical building in the background.
